When it comes to 500 size helis, the HK 500GT is one of the best kits in its price range. Its modeled after
the Align T-Rex 500 which is great because it makes getting spare parts MUCH easier.

I picked one of these up to use in my AH-64D Apache Scale Fuselage. Eventually I plan on adding a
multiblade head to this heli but that won't be for a while.

Parts Needed to Build The Kit
The HK 500GT is a kit, you will need to
purchase all the electronics separately
(including blades). But this will allow you to
build this heli to suit your budget. Here is what I
plan to use.
Transmitter

You will need at
least a 6Ch
Transmitter.
LiPo Battery
Brushless
Motor
Brushless ESC
Head Holding
Gyro

There are lots of HH gyros
available. I plan on using
the Futaba GY401.
Be sure to use a good tail
servo with this gyro.
Receiver

I will be using a
Spektrum AR6200
Rx on mine.
Tail Servo

You need a fast tail
servo. So I will be
using a Futaba 9257
Servo
(3) Park Size
Servos
The ESC I am using
does not include a
BEC so I will be using
this seperate
TURNIGY 5-7.5A
(8~42v) HV UBEC
BEC
The HK 500GT uses a
somewhat unique
size servo.  You
need one that is
16 x 32mm.
